Zhou Shuchun, born in 1958, began his career as a professional journalist in Xinhua News Agency in 1986. He worked as a reporter for Xinhua’s Home News for Overseas Service Department, progressing to be its Deputy Director and head of Xinhua‘s London bureau, Director of the Reference News Department, Editor-in-Chief of Reference News published by Xinhua, and then Vice-President of Xinhua News Agency. In 2007, he won the Taofen Award, the top honor for Chinese editors.

He was appointed Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of China Daily in February 2017.

He is a member of the Standing Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and a member of Foreign Affairs Committee of the CPPCC.

男,1958年出生,湖北黃陂人,1976年參加工作,1984年加入中國共產黨,獲英語新聞雙學士學位,法學博士,高級記者。現任中國日報社社長兼總編輯。曾任新華社對外部中央外事新聞採編室主任、對外部副主任、新華社倫敦分社社長、參考新聞編輯部主任,參考消息報社總編輯、總編室副總編輯,2007年10月任新華社副社長、黨組成員,2016年11月兼任中國記協副主席。2017年2月任中國日報社總編輯。第十三屆全國政協常委、外事委員會委員。獲第八屆韜奮獎。
