Mr Zubair Qureshi has a long and distinguished career of journalism and is associated with Pakistan Observer for over 15 years. He has served as Editor as well as Special Correspondent of the newspaper and is a senior member of the Pakistan Observer team based in Islamabad. He has represented the Daily at various national and international forums.

Mr Zubair’s fields of interest are Foreign Policy, International Relations, Defense & Strategic issues, Climate Change and above all Pakistan-China relations.

Mr Zubair Qureshi has extensively covered Pakistan-China bilateral trade, investment particularly China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) since the inception, execution and completion of many projects under this flagship B&R Initiative which is considered a game-changer not only for Pakistan but for the entire region.

A member of the National Press Club, Zubair has visited China on different occasions and traveled and written on its various cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Dunhuang, Baiyin, Changsha, Nanjing, Yangzhou, Nantong, Urumqi and Kashi. He has also covered the 19th National Congress of the CPC held on Oct 18-24 2017.

Through his articles and reports Mr Zubair has introduced Chinese people and places to his Pakistani readers. In this way he has further strengthened the cause of the friendship between the two countries.

Zubair has a deep insight and knowledge of the diverse cultures and traditions of the People’s Republic of China and is of the opinion that China is capable of leading the world.
