Director Ann Claire Credo-Cabochan is at the helm of the Bureau of International Trade Relations (BITR) of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). BITR represents the Philippines in bilateral, regional and multilateral trade negotiations and economic cooperation engagements. She also had the opportunity to lead the DTI Bureau of Philippine Standards (formerly known as the Bureau of Product Standards), the national standards body and regulatory agency for industrial products under technical regulation, and the Philippine Contractors Accreditation Bureau (a DTI attached agency), the government’s licensing and regulatory agency for contractors.

A lawyer and certified public accountant by profession, Director Cabochan obtained her Accountancy degree from Silliman University and her degree in Bachelor of Laws from San Beda College. Her career in public service includes her stint as Government Corporate Attorney III of the Office of the Government Corporate Counsel, Department of Justice; Legal Officer and Corporate Board Secretary of the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation; and, Securities and Exchange Analyst at the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Director Cabochan has also spent many semesters as part-time law professor at the Arellano University School of Law and the Lyceum of the Philippines; part-time professor at the San Beda College Graduate School of Business and College of Arts and Sciences (Legal Management and Accountancy); and full time Accountancy professor at the Silliman University College of Business Administration.

She is married to a former classmate at the San Beda College School of Law, Atty. Jonas Cabochan, and is a mother of one.
